Packers coach Matt LaFleur was not satisfied with his team’s performance in the 13-10 loss to the Browns in Cleveland, nor with the statements heard in the locker room. The conversation arose after the Packers started the season with a 2-0 record, with convincing victories over the Lions and the Commanders. Offensive tackle Rasheed Walker suggested the team could have a perfect season.

The goal is to go 1-0 each week. And it bothers me when we start talking about things outside of the next game.

LaFleur emphasized the importance of focusing on the present and improving every day. LaFleur did not specifically mention Walker, and Walker did not comment after Sunday’s defeat.
LaFleur Furioso: Packers Must Focus on the Present, Not the Undefeated
Matt LaFleur afirmó que la derrota del domingo sirvió como recordatorio para que sus jugadores de los Packers “frenen todo. Solo intentamos ganar un partido a la vez”.
LaFleur reminded his players of the importance of focusing on one game at a time and avoiding distractions. A key aspect of the game was the blocking of a 43-yard field goal attempt by the Browns in the last minute, where several Browns players managed a significant push on the left side of the protection unit. LaFleur highlighted the need for discipline, confidence in technique, and adherence to training instructions. Regarding injuries, safety Javon Bullard is in concussion protocol. Right tackle Zach Tom, who retired after a play due to an oblique injury that kept him out the previous week, did not suffer an aggravation of his injury. LaFleur explained that it’s difficult to simulate the intensity of the game in training.
