Christian Kirk, Texans Receiver, Sidelined by Injury
Houston Texans receiver Christian Kirk suffered a hamstring strain. This injury is expected to keep him off the field at least for the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Rams, and possibly longer.
Sources close to the team indicated that the injury could keep Kirk inactive for about two weeks, although the Texans plan to be cautious with his recovery.
Kirk did not participate in Wednesday’s practice with the Houston team.
The Texans acquired Kirk in March through a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kirk was expected to start alongside Nico Collins, strengthening the team’s receiving unit, which will likely not have Tank Dell this season due to knee surgery. In the April draft, Houston selected Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel.
