Travis Kelce Focused on a New Season with the Chiefs

In this stage of his career, Travis Kelce understands that each season in the NFL presents new challenges. The Chiefs player, who could reach the Hall of Fame, is the oldest member of the team. During a press conference on Wednesday, Kelce reflected on his thirteenth season. Kelce revealed that his mindset for the Chiefs’ 2025 campaign is different from last year’s, partly because both he and the team are looking for another successful postseason run, hoping to reach the Super Bowl and achieve a different outcome than the previous season.

I’ve left that behind. I’ve focused on this season during the break.

Last year, Kelce arrived at training camp after spending much of the summer of 2024 in Europe with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and was present at several events on her Eras Tour. This year, several Chiefs members have noticed that Kelce arrived at camp thinner and with renewed energy. Coach Andy Reid commented that Kelce looked in excellent shape. Kelce has proven to be one of the Chiefs’ most dedicated players during camp. He hasn’t missed a single practice and has made several athletic catches on the field, both in team periods and in the 7-on-7 drill. Despite showing fatigue in certain repetitions, Kelce, who will turn 36 in October, has remained on the field to run more routes for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

You have to go through the hard days and enjoy them for what they are. We are on the move. It’s training camp, so you’ll feel the pain and the workload you have every day. You have to enjoy it and fight against that.

Back in dorm life, Kelce said what has remained the same since last year, and all previous years, is how the campus of Missouri Western State University remains his football sanctuary.

I love being here. It takes me away from everything that’s going on in this crazy world. You can really focus on your craft and being the best you can be for the guys around you. Football has always been the biggest driving force I’ve had. I love coming out and focusing on this and getting better for another shot at a Super Bowl.
