EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Giants star receiver Malik Nabers did not participate in the latest training sessions on Wednesday, but downplayed the situation, describing it as part of a necessary “process”. Nabers, who has dealt with toe problems and a shoulder injury, has been present at every training session, showing outstanding performance.

I’m fine. The coaches and training staff have this process they want me to follow to keep me healthy when we’re ready to play. So I just have to do my job and follow the plan they’ve set up here.

The receiver, known for his dedication, constantly works on his physical condition, especially his foot, and maintains constant communication with the coaches. Despite the minor inconveniences, Nabers has proven his worth on the field, making important plays and showing continuous improvement since his outstanding rookie season, where he accumulated 109 receptions, 1,204 yards, and seven touchdowns.

I don’t think it’s been affecting me. I’m still making plays, I’m still feeling good when I’m on the field. Some days are better than normal. For now, … I feel great.

The Giants will face the Buffalo Bills in their first preseason game on Saturday. Coach Brian Daboll has not yet confirmed the participation of Nabers and other starters. If the starting wide receivers play, Nabers is expected to have a significant role, as he has quickly become quarterback Russell Wilson’s favorite target. Wilson, impressed by Nabers’ talent from the start, has praised his explosiveness and instincts, considering him one of the best receivers in the NFL.

There are only a few people in the world who can do it like him. I think he is one of the best in the world doing it.

Nabers, who already proved to be a special player by reaching the Pro Bowl in his rookie season, continues to improve, according to Wilson, who anticipates a bright future for the receiver.

He’s entering his second year. Everything is fresh and new, but he definitely has experience in how he sees the game, his mentality, attacking the ball in the air. They’ve seen all the explosive plays he’s made on the field and even underneath. It’s going to be something special. Obviously, I’m excited to play with him.
