Kris Boyd shares encouraging news
Jets coach Aaron Glenn addressed the situation for the first time, expressing his confidence in Boyd’s recovery. Glenn stated that the player “will come out of this very well.” The incident occurred around 2 a.m. ET on Sunday, outside a Manhattan restaurant frequented by celebrities. Boyd, who was on the injured reserve list due to a shoulder injury, was accompanied by teammates Jamien Sherwood and Irvin Charles. According to police sources, Boyd and his friends were involved in a fight with a group, including the person the police are looking for. The confrontation culminated in the shooting. Boyd was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was initially reported in critical but stable condition. The police have released surveillance images and photographs of the suspect, but no arrests have been made yet.Glenn refrained from speculating on the impact this could have on Boyd’s career and noted that they did not discuss football-related topics during their conversation. Boyd, considered one of the best special teams players in the league, signed a one-year, $1.6 million contract before the season. That’s what reassures me, that he’s in good spirits. His wife and son are in good spirits, and he’ll get through this well.
Aaron Glenn, Jets coach
