Player Travis Hunter could have a more prominent role in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense, starting this Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London. Jaguars coach Liam Coen announced that the team will prioritize designing and executing plays where Hunter is the first option, with the goal of leveraging his speed and athleticism.

It’s part of the strategy, number one, to outline it so that it’s open.

Coen added that the offensive coaching staff is focusing on putting Hunter in the progressions and giving him the opportunity to be the first option more often. In Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Hunter had four receptions for 15 yards, including a 14-yard gain after the reception. This was his lowest yardage of the season. The need to give Hunter more prominence in the passing game is related to the difficulties of receiver Brian Thomas Jr., who is the Jaguars’ leading receiver with 24 receptions for 334 yards.

El entrenador Liam Coen afirmó que los Jaguars se enfocarán en diseñar y ejecutar más jugadas con Travis Hunter como la primera opción en la ofensiva, aprovechando su velocidad.
The Jaguars are also without tight end Brenton Strange, who was placed on injured reserve after injuring his hip in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Hunter, with 20 receptions for 197 yards, commented that it’s crucial to be patient and let the game unfold naturally. Coen clarified that involving Hunter more in the offense doesn’t mean forcing the ball towards him. The coach emphasized that the decision to throw the ball to a specific player depends on several factors, including defensive coverage and teamwork of all players.
