Jaguars and Commanders to Host NFL Games in London 2026

The NFL has announced that the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Washington Commanders will be the host teams for the three league games in London for the 2026 season. This announcement marks a significant milestone in the NFL’s international expansion. The Jaguars, with a tradition established in London since 2013, will play two games in the British capital for the first time. One of the matches will be played at Wembley Stadium, and the other at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Commanders will also play their home game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Although the details of the opponents and dates will be announced later, the Jaguars are expected to play in consecutive weeks in October. These three games in London are part of a record nine international games that will be held in seven countries in 2026.

NFL games in London bring together fans from the UK and beyond, playing a key role in engaging our existing fans, creating new audiences and driving NFL fandom in this market.

Henry Hodgson, General Manager of NFL UK & Ireland
This will be the fifteenth time the Jaguars have played in London, with the majority of games played at Wembley Stadium. Their record in London is 7-7, including a 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. For the Commanders, this will be their third international game.

Last season was my first experience in London as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars and my immediate conclusion was that London is, without a doubt, our home away from home. We have a passionate and knowledgeable fanbase in London, built over time and still growing, and we are having a positive impact on fans across the UK as well. That is something that our organization, starting with our owners, has worked very hard to achieve and is proud to continue developing each season.

Liam Coen, Head Coach
The Jaguars have an agreement with the NFL since 2023 that allows them to play an annual game at Wembley Stadium, with a capacity of 90,000 spectators, where they have full responsibility for the game and oversee all operations. This will be the third time the Jaguars play multiple games in London. The team also played two games in 2023 and 2024, one as the home team at Wembley Stadium and the other as the away team at Tottenham. The Jaguars’ new stadium agreement and 30-year lease with the city included a clause that allowed the team to play up to six home games internationally between 2025 and 2027, with a maximum of three in 2027, when the Jaguars will play all their home games outside of EverBank Stadium while it undergoes a $1.4 billion renovation. That renovation, which began in early 2025, will limit the capacity of EverBank Stadium to 42,507 by 2026. The team will announce where it will play its home games of 2027, which is expected to be Orlando, as soon as the NFL approves the plan, which could occur at the league’s annual meeting in March in Phoenix. The NFL also announced that Detroit will play a home game at FC Bayern Munich Stadium in Germany. Games will also be played in Madrid, Paris, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, and Melbourne.
