Heyward Accuses Josh Allen of Intentional Knee Strike
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive captain Cameron Heyward has expressed his frustration after the game against the Buffalo Bills, accusing quarterback Josh Allen of intentionally hitting him with his knee in the stomach during the first half of the match. This action, according to Heyward, triggered a series of verbal exchanges between both players throughout the game at Acrisure Stadium, where the Steelers suffered a 26-7 defeat. The incident occurred less than six minutes from the end of the first half, as Heyward was trying to get up after tackling Allen following a short run play. Heyward claims he believes Allen’s action was intentional, based on a comment the quarterback made about it.I was upset throughout the game because, as a quarterback, they are protected, but I am not. It just makes me angry.

Heyward’s statement came in the Steelers’ locker room after Allen finished his post-game interview. Allen, for his part, also spoke about the existing tension between both players during the match. Heyward was even penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct after Allen connected with receiver Keon Coleman for a one-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Allen commented that Heyward may have “pumped him up a bit” and added that they both love the competitiveness of the game. In addition, he praised Heyward as a great player, noting that sometimes that “spark” is needed to get motivated. He even said afterwards, ‘I had to do something to get you off me’.
