FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New York Giants player Gunner Olszewski suffered a concussion in Monday night’s game against the New England Patriots.
The incident occurred after a hard hit to the head by linebacker Christian Elliss.
Olszewski, who was returning a kickoff at the end of the first half, was hit after being destabilized by Marte Mapu. The play did not result in a penalty, as Olszewski was the ball carrier.
The blow was so strong that it even damaged Olszewski’s helmet sticker.
