Bryan Braman, Former NFL Player, Passes Away
The world of American football mourns the loss of Bryan Braman, former player for the Houston Texans and the Philadelphia Eagles, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 38. According to his agent, Braman was battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer, for which he received treatment this year. Braman underwent multiple surgeries in Seattle during his treatment, according to a GoFundMe page created to help him with medical expenses. The cancer diagnosis came in February.The GoFundMe campaign for Braman raised more than $88,000, with a $10,000 donation from J.J. Watt, former Texans star, and contributions from other former teammates. Braman played seven seasons in the NFL, from 2011 to 2017. He was a Super Bowl champion with the Eagles, after joining the team for the playoffs and blocking a punt in the divisional round. The victory in Super Bowl LII was Braman’s last game in the NFL.I had two daughters, aged 11 and 8.
