Justin Fields Returns to Training with Foot Protection
The New York Jets quarterback, Justin Fields, has returned to training after suffering a toe injury. To protect the affected area, Fields will use a plastic protector on the outside of his shoes for the next few weeks. Fields expressed his relief in confirming that the injury was not serious. “God took care of me that day,” Fields commented, referring to the moment of the injury. The incident occurred during a training session, where Fields limped and had to be helped off the field. After a medical evaluation, a dislocated right toe was diagnosed, a minor injury compared to others that were possible.“Fortunately, they said it was only a dislocation,” Fields stated.

Despite not having had a perfect day on Tuesday, Fields demonstrated his worth in a two-minute drill, achieving a key play with a 9-yard run and, subsequently, a 15-yard touchdown pass to tight end Mason Taylor. Coach Aaron Glenn praised Fields and the offense for their performance in training, although he wasn’t completely satisfied with the overall performance. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson, Fields’ teammate at Ohio State, also expressed his relief at the quarterback’s return. Fields will continue training with protection on his right foot, ensuring that it is a necessary measure for his recovery. “It’s almost like a steel toe, but it’s like a plastic toe: protection for a couple of weeks,” he concluded.“I definitely didn’t want to miss much time. That’s why I was so eager to get back on the field,” he stated.
