Falcons Secure Kaleb McGary with Contract Extension
The Atlanta Falcons have secured the right tackle position for the upcoming seasons by signing a two-year, $30 million extension with Kaleb McGary. This was confirmed by his agent, Collin Roberts. McGary, known for his skill in run blocking, will now have the responsibility of protecting the blind side of the left-handed quarterback, Michael Penix Jr. The 30-year-old player, standing at 6’6″ and weighing 330 pounds, is about to begin his seventh season in the NFL. He was selected in the number 31 position by the Falcons in 2019.McGary underwent arthroscopic surgery in the offseason due to bone spurs in his left ankle, which prevented him from participating in voluntary workouts and minicamp. However, he has already fully rejoined training camp. One is always willing to be compensated, believe me. I’m not worried about that. I’m focused on the season, and if I don’t do my job well, there’s not much to worry about. I go step by step, that’s all.

Continuity on the offensive line is a priority for the Falcons, who already have right guard Chris Lindstrom and left tackle Jake Matthews signed through 2028. Left guard Matthew Bergeron has two seasons remaining on his rookie contract, and Ryan Neuzil, who replaces Drew Dalman as the starting center, is also secured through 2026.I don’t know if I’ve had an articulation that felt this good in a long time.
