Eagles and Packers to face off on “Monday Night Football”

The first game announced for the “Monday Night Football” schedule of the season features an exciting matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers, two NFC rivals with growing offseason tension.

The match, scheduled for November 10, will see the Packers receive the Eagles, current Super Bowl champions, in a duel that highlights the debate around the “tush push” tactic. Green Bay was the driving force behind the proposal to ban this short-yardage strategy of Philadelphia, which was postponed at the league’s annual meeting last month and will likely be reviewed at next week’s spring meeting.

In February, the Packers submitted the rule proposal to ban the “quarterback sneak”, a play that has become almost unstoppable for the Eagles. Green Bay’s proposal was specifically drafted for this play, unlike most rule proposals, and would prohibit an offensive player from immediately pushing a teammate who is lined up directly behind the center and receives the ball.

The announcement of this Week 10 game was made on Tuesday on “Good Morning America.” The complete “Monday Night Football” schedule will be revealed on Wednesday.

Joe Buck, the commentator for “Monday Night Football”, mentioned that the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Detroit Lions are teams that could have multiple games on Monday nights.

The Eagles’ game at Lambeau Field is their third solo game of the 2025 season so far. It was previously announced this week that Philadelphia will start the season by hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, September 4, and playing against the Washington Commanders on Saturday, December 20.
