Texans Send John Metchie III to the Eagles
The Houston Texans have agreed to a trade that will send wide receiver John Metchie III to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Metchie, who is about to start his fourth season in the NFL, has 40 receptions for 412 yards and a touchdown over 29 games.
It should be remembered that Metchie missed his rookie season due to leukemia, a disease he faced after being selected by the Texans in the second round of the 2022 draft.
In the current preseason, Metchie leads the Texans’ receivers in receiving yards, with 53 yards gained on six receptions during two games.
In Philadelphia, Metchie will join a receiving corps led by figures like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, along with other players like Jahan Dotson and Johnny Wilson.
