Dolphins Coach Ryan Crow on Indefinite Administrative Leave After Arrest
Miami Dolphins assistant coach Ryan Crow will remain on administrative leave indefinitely, head coach Mike McDaniel announced this Monday. The decision comes after Crow’s arrest last week. Crow was arrested early Friday on a domestic assault charge.Sean Ryan, senior defensive assistant, will take over the responsibility of coaching the team’s outside linebackers in place of Crow. According to the probable cause affidavit from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Crow engaged in an argument with a person he resides with and pushed her. The alleged victim chose not to provide a formal statement to the police after they responded to the call shortly after midnight on Friday, and claimed not to have suffered any injuries. However, two witnesses informed the police that Crow was the aggressor, with one of them indicating that the “victim seemed terrified.” The other witness reported that Crow stopped his actions when he realized that other people were watching the confrontation and returned to his apartment. Crow, 37, joined the Dolphins in 2024 after serving for three seasons in the same role with the Tennessee Titans. He has been coaching in the NFL since 2018, with both the Titans and the Dolphins.“We’re going to let the process run its course. We take the accusations very seriously,” McDaniel stated. “The number one rule for our team is to protect the team… Being on a team is a blessing that demands respect for things much bigger than oneself. The number one rule is to protect the team for reasons like that, and that was violated.”
