Seahawks Bolster Defense with Quandre Diggs’ Return
The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign veteran safety Quandre Diggs to their practice squad, according to sources close to the team.
Diggs, who played four and a half seasons in Seattle before being released in 2024, returns to the Seahawks to strengthen the safety position. This comes at a time when starters Julian Love (dealing with a hamstring issue) and Ty Okada (with an oblique injury) are dealing with injuries.El safety veterano Quandre Diggs está listo para volver a los Seattle Seahawks después de ser liberado en 2024 y unirse a los Tennessee Titans. Los Seahawks se encuentran con bajas en los safeties Julian Love y Ty Okada.Diggs, 32, was selected for three Pro Bowls and recorded 18 interceptions in 72 games with the Seahawks. The team acquired him during the 2019 season in a trade with the Detroit Lions.
After his release from Seattle last year, Diggs signed with the Tennessee Titans, where he started eight games in 2024 and four this season before being released earlier this month.
Love is eligible to come off the injured list after missing the required four games, but coach Mike Macdonald has said it’s still unclear if that will happen this week.
Okada, who has been playing as a starter in Love’s absence, missed the second half of Seattle’s victory over the Titans on Sunday. A source expressed optimism that Okada will not have to be placed on the injured list.
