Deion Sanders Reacts to Criticism of Shedeur Sanders
Colorado coach Deion Sanders expressed his discontent with reports suggesting an alleged lack of preparation from his son, Shedeur Sanders, during pre-draft meetings with NFL teams. While acknowledging the emotional impact of these criticisms, Sanders questions their veracity.
Shedeur Sanders, who was considered a potential first-round pick, was ultimately selected in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns. Shilo Sanders, the other son of Deion Sanders eligible for the draft, was not selected, but signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the event.“It hurt me. But the Bible says that God uses foolish things to confound the wise. There were some foolish things that happened, but that gave them something they needed,” Sanders commented on the podcast “Say What Needs To Be Said”.

Sanders added that these circumstances might have provided extra motivation, similar to what Tom Brady, who has been mentoring Shedeur, advised him to use. Brady, on the “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, suggested to Shedeur that he use his draft slide as a boost.
Deion Sanders reacted with particular annoyance to reports indicating that Shedeur Sanders used headphones during meetings with NFL teams.Shedeur Sanders will compete for the starting position with four other quarterbacks, including rookie Dillon Gabriel and veterans Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Deshaun Watson. However, Watson’s availability is in doubt due to an Achilles tendon injury.“Who has had six different offensive coordinators and still functioned and improved every time we brought in someone new, and they’re going to tell me I wasn’t prepared? Are they going to tell me I had headphones on? Come on, you know,” expressed Deion Sanders.
