Ronald Darby Says Goodbye to American Football: The Cornerback Hangs Up His Cleats
Veteran cornerback Ronald Darby has made the decision to retire from the NFL, according to sources.
Darby, 31, had signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans in March as a free agent, after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2024, he started 12 games for the Jaguars, his only season with the team. Selected in the second round of the draft by the Buffalo Bills in 2015, Darby finished second in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting that season, after starting 15 games and recording two interceptions and 68 tackles.
In total, Darby participated in 118 games during 10 seasons in the NFL with the Bills, Eagles, Washington, Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens, and Jaguars.
Concludes his career with eight interceptions, 106 passes defended, and 447 tackles.
