Colts Suffer Key Loss: Shrader Injured
INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts, despite their impressive offensive performance, face a possible setback following their 40-6 victory over the Raiders on Sunday. A key injury could force the team to make significant adjustments. Kicker Spencer Shrader, who led the NFL with 13 field goals before Week 5, suffered a potentially serious knee injury. The injury occurred during an extra point attempt in the second quarter, when Raiders safety Tristin McCollum collided with him. McCollum was penalized for a personal foul for roughing the kicker. Shrader fell to the field and grabbed his right knee. He remained on the ground for a prolonged time before slowly exiting with the help of the medical staff.Colts coach Shane Steichen suggested that Shrader’s injury could be serious. The team has relied heavily on Shrader this season, especially considering they have been one of the NFL’s most productive offenses. No other kicker had made more than 10 field goals before Sunday. It doesn’t look good, but I don’t have the full update.
