Anthony Richardson Out with Eye Injury

INDIANAPOLIS – Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. will not play in Sunday’s game against the Cardinals due to an eye injury sustained during pre-game warmups.

Richardson, who has been Daniel Jones’ primary backup, suffered the injury during warm-up exercises. The team reported that the incident occurred while performing exercises with resistance bands.

In Richardson’s absence, rookie Riley Leonard will be the second quarterback.

Richardson has participated in two games this season, entering in the last quarter in games with large scores. He has played in 17 games since being selected in the fourth overall position by the Colts in 2023.
