Chris Conley Hangs Up His Gloves After Ten Seasons in the NFL
Wide receiver Chris Conley has decided to end his NFL career after a decade of dedication to professional football. The announcement was made via a post on his social media, where he shared his decision to retire.

Conley, who played for several teams throughout his career, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and, most recently, the San Francisco 49ers, fulfilled his goal of playing ten seasons in the league.When I was a child, I wrote a series of goals. On that list was “Play 10 years in the NFL.” Now that this goal has been achieved, it’s time to set my sights on something new.

In his post, Conley expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play in the NFL and highlighted that he gave his all in every game, whether catching touchdowns or blocking for his teammates.
The wide receiver was a third-round pick in the 2015 draft by the Chiefs, Conley participated in 132 games, with 65 starts. He accumulated 226 receptions for 2,998 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Conley had his best season in 2019 with Jacksonville, where he recorded 47 receptions for 775 yards and five touchdowns, all career highs. In his last two seasons with San Francisco, Conley served primarily as a backup.
In his final season in 2024, Conley had six receptions for 76 yards and a fumble recovery on special teams.
Conley will begin a new chapter by attending film school at his alma mater, Georgia.
