CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens miss the start of the game for breaking curfew
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb revealed that both he and George Pickens missed curfew on Sunday, resulting in both players missing the first series of Monday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Lamb explained to the media that he and Pickens were at the Red Rock Casino dining and having drinks. He denied vomiting outside the casino, as had been mentioned on social media. The Cowboys’ curfew was at 10 p.m. PT on Sunday, with a game start at 5:15 p.m. PT on Monday. After the Cowboys’ 33-16 victory, coach Brian Schottenheimer commented that “there were some things that were overlooked” and that the players were informed of the disciplinary action before the game. He did not go into detail. Neither Pickens nor Lamb spoke on the matter after the game. Lamb finished with 5 receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown, while Pickens had 9 receptions, tying his personal record, for 144 yards and a 37-yard touchdown from Dak Prescott.“I’m not going to elaborate on that,” Lamb said after the game. “Honestly, I won’t. Sorry, I won’t.”

Pickens wasn’t asked why they were substitutes when he spoke to the media on Thursday. When asked how he felt watching the start of the game from the bench, Pickens replied: “It definitely wasn’t pleasant. CeeDee and I definitely wanted to be out there.”
He added that his relationship with Schottenheimer, who embraced both receivers after Lamb’s touchdown, has strengthened throughout the year. Schottenheimer also expressed his desire for Pickens, who is expected to be a free agent after this season, to remain with the Cowboys. Last year, the Cowboys signed Lamb to a deal that averages $34 million per year. Pickens has 58 receptions for 908 yards and seven touchdowns. Lamb, who missed three games due to a high ankle sprain, has 40 receptions for 557 yards and two touchdowns.“Sign me up. What do you say? I love the relationship those two guys have. I love the firepower they give us,” Schottenheimer said. “That’s one of those games where you never know who’s going to step up. Sometimes it’s both of them, sometimes it’s one of them, and again, like I said, sometimes I pinch myself… I’m very much in favor of George having a long-term future with us.”
