More Injuries on the Team
Outside linebacker Haason Reddick also suffered an injury during Monday’s game and will miss playing time. The team is awaiting the results of an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. Additionally, the Buccaneers will not have running back Bucky Irving (foot sprain, shoulder subluxation) or wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula) for the next game against the New Orleans Saints. Bowles was asked if Godwin’s fibula injury, on the same leg as his operated left ankle, puts his season at risk, to which he replied that it is a situation that will be evaluated weekly, without ruling anything out. Wide receiver Jalen McMillan, who suffered a neck sprain in the second preseason game and is on the injured reserve list, is also still recovering. It’s improving. I don’t have a specific date, but it’s definitely improving. We’ll see when the apparatus is removed, but it definitely feels better.
