Tension on the Field: Browns Players Criticize Jauan Jennings
In a match marked by intensity, several Cleveland Browns defenders, including star Myles Garrett, expressed strong criticism towards San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings for comments they considered inappropriate during Sunday’s game. The confrontation occurred during a break in the game, caused by an injury to Browns defensive tackle Maliek Collins. Several Cleveland defenders exchanged words with Jennings, and at one point, Garrett got involved, approaching the referee to try to calm the situation. This incident marks the second time in less than a week that Jennings has been involved in an argument on the field. In the game against the Carolina Panthers on Monday night, Jennings and safety Tre’von Moehrig exchanged words before Moehrig hit Jennings with a low blow at the end of the game. Jennings didn’t respond at the time, but after the game he slapped Moehrig in the face. Both players were quickly separated, but both were sanctioned last week. Moehrig was suspended for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, costing him approximately $65,000 in compensation. Jennings was fined $12,172 for the hit after the game.“I see why Jennings got hit,” commented Browns lineman Shelby Harris after the game, which ended with a 26-8 victory for the 49ers. “He says things you should never say to another man. I don’t respect him because he says that and then hides behind his offensive line. That’s soft garbage, and I want it to be known.

Garrett added: “I don’t think that belongs in the game. But hey, if that works for him and for them, then good for him. But I’m just trying to keep my guys focused on the game and not worried about outside things, because we’re focused on what’s on the field.”“I can’t speak for how he was raised, but if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything to anyone,” Garrett said. “He had a lot to say that was degrading and denigrating to some of our players. I was just trying to separate everyone. I tried to approach him and ask what the problem was, and then he started attacking me, and, I mean, some guys just act like that.
