49ers with Significant Absences for the Match against the Saints

The San Francisco 49ers face a significant challenge for their next encounter against the New Orleans Saints. The Californian team will have to face the match with significant absences, which could affect their performance on the field.

The main confirmed absence is George Kittle, the team’s star tight end. Kittle suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of the Week 1 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Coach Kyle Shanahan reported that Kittle is expected to be out for several weeks.

In addition to Kittle’s absence, quarterback Brock Purdy is also questionable for the game. Purdy suffered injuries to his left shoulder and foot during the same game against the Seahawks. The coaching staff will evaluate his condition during the training week before making a decision about his participation.

In the event that Purdy is unable to play, Mac Jones would be the starting quarterback for the 49ers.

On the other hand, receiver Jauan Jennings is also questionable due to a shoulder injury. The team is awaiting the results of a CT scan, although an initial MRI did not reveal significant damage.

In other news, the 49ers and former wide receiver Kendrick Bourne reached an agreement on a one-year contract, worth up to $5 million.
