Jennings Ready to Play; Williams Questionable for 49ers vs. Saints Matchup
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings is slated to participate in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. On the other hand, the situation of left tackle Trent Williams will be determined after pre-game warmups.
Both players are listed as questionable for Sunday. Jennings is dealing with a left shoulder injury, while Williams is facing knee issues.
Williams will evaluate his knee during warmups to determine his participation. If he is unable to play, Spencer Burford will take his place at the left tackle position.
The tests performed on Jennings’ left shoulder earlier in the week ruled out any serious injury. Jennings left the Week 1 game against Seattle in the final quarter due to the injury.
San Francisco will not have its starting quarterback, Brock Purdy, who is out due to injuries to his left shoulder and toe, nor tight end George Kittle, who was placed on the injured list on Tuesday for a hamstring injury.
