Zion Williamson Returns to the Court with the Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans’ star forward, Zion Williamson, was cleared to return to action this Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets.

Williamson had been diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring on November 4, which forced him to miss eight games.

During Williamson’s absence, the Pelicans suffered a six-game losing streak.

Williamson, before his injury, averaged 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.0 steals per game this season.

Upon his return, Williamson scored 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and stole 1 ball in the Pelicans’ 125-118 loss to the Nuggets.

Pelicans forward Saddiq Bey (left ankle sprain) also made his return against Denver.

Guard Jordan Poole (left quadriceps strain) missed his eighth straight game. Point guard Dejounte Murray remains out while continuing his recovery from a right Achilles tendon rupture.
