Warriors Cut Seth Curry: A Strategic Move

The Golden State Warriors have made the decision to cut guard Seth Curry, anticipating his return to the team in the coming months.

This measure has become necessary due to the financial restrictions faced by the team under the new salary cap. The Warriors are in a situation where they cannot afford an additional contract for the veteran minimum salary until early November. The vacancy in the 15th roster spot will be maintained until the expected return of the guard.

Seth Curry, younger brother of Stephen Curry, has been training at the team’s facilities and participating in the October tour, although he hasn’t played in the preseason games.

Curry began his 11-year career in the G League with the franchise’s Santa Cruz program, but then chose to play for ten NBA teams, seeking to forge his own professional path.

His career has been marked by notable success in shooting. Seth has scored 945 three-pointers with 43.3% effectiveness, the seventh-best mark in league history.

This summer, Seth considered it the right time to join Stephen, who has always wanted to play with his brother in the NBA. Although the reunion is delayed, the plan is still on, even after this administrative move.
