Trae Young Progresses in His Injury Recovery

The Atlanta Hawks’ stellar point guard, Trae Young, is showing good progress in his recovery from a right knee medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury. The team has reported that Young will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks.

Young suffered the injury during a game against the Brooklyn Nets on October 29. Since then, he has missed 15 games and was expected to be out of action until mid-December.

Before Friday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the point guard took some warm-up shots. Before the injury, the current assist leader averaged 17.8 points and 7.8 assists per game.

The Hawks have performed solidly, with a 10-5 record, since Young injured his knee. Jalen Johnson has taken on a more important role on the team, achieving 10 double-doubles, including two triple-doubles, during those 15 games.
