Jeremy Sochan will miss the start of the season with the Spurs

San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan will not be available for the season opener against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday due to a sprained left wrist.

Sochan’s injury occurred during a training session on Wednesday, in a 5-on-5 practice, while he was preparing to return from a calf strain.

Sochan suffered a calf injury in August while training with the Polish national team. This injury forced him to miss the EuroBasket tournament, as well as the Spurs’ preseason.

In addition to Sochan, the Spurs will also start the season without De’Aaron Fox, who is recovering from a hamstring strain. Both Fox and Sochan are expected to return for the second or third game of the season.

In the last season, Sochan averaged 11.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 54 games.
