Ryan Rollins Returns to the Bucks with a Million-Dollar Contract

Free agent guard Ryan Rollins has agreed to return to the Milwaukee Bucks on a three-year, $12 million contract, which includes a player option in the third season, according to his agents Mike Silverman and Brandon Grier of Equity Basketball.

Rollins, selected in the second round of the 2022 draft by the Golden State Warriors, joined the Bucks on a dual contract in February 2024. He spent most of the 2024-25 season under this scheme before receiving a standard contract in March. He opted for a contract for the remainder of the season instead of a multi-year deal with the Bucks, which made him an unrestricted free agent, and is now rewarded with a $12 million contract.

At 23 years old, Rollins earned a spot in Doc Rivers’ rotation as an effective three-point shooter. He averaged 6.2 points per game with a 40.8% success rate from the three-point line in 56 games last year. In his 19 starts in place of injured point guard Damian Lillard, his numbers increased to 10.2 points with a 45.2% success rate from the three-point line.

In his last 10 regular season games, with Lillard out, Rollins averaged 12.3 points and four assists while shooting 58% from three-point range.

The Bucks have experienced significant changes this offseason, including the departure of Myles Turner and Lillard, while they brought in Myles Turner with a four-year contract. In addition to Rollins, Milwaukee will also have Kevin Porter Jr., Bobby Portis, Taurean Prince, and Gary Trent Jr.
