Kevin Porter Jr. Misses Bucks Trip Due to Injury

Milwaukee – Kevin Porter Jr. will not participate in the next two away games for the Milwaukee Bucks due to a left ankle sprain, an injury suffered during the season opener victory against the Washington Wizards.

After undergoing an MRI and being evaluated by the team’s orthopedic surgeon, Carole Vetter, on Thursday, the initial diagnosis of a left ankle sprain was confirmed.

The 6’5″ guard will not play on Friday against Toronto or on Sunday against Cleveland. The Bucks have not provided any further updates on Porter’s possible return.

Porter, 25, scored 10 points before getting injured at the end of the first quarter in Wednesday’s 133-120 victory.

Last season, after being acquired by the Bucks at the trade deadline, he averaged 11.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 30 games with the team. Previously, with the LA Clippers, Porter averaged 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 45 games.
