Paul Pierce Arrested for Driving Under the Influence

Former NBA player Paul Pierce was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence on a Los Angeles freeway. California Highway Patrol officers responded to an incident on Highway 101 around 10:40 p.m., where they found Pierce asleep at the wheel of his vehicle. According to a press release from the agency, officers noticed signs of alcohol impairment and proceeded to conduct a DUI investigation. Pierce was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, which will be reviewed by the Los Angeles city attorney. In his Instagram account, Pierce explained that he fell asleep while stopped in traffic.
