Paul George will miss the start of the season with the 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers star, Paul George, will not be present at the season opener, according to sources close to the team. The player is in the process of recovering from knee surgery performed during the summer.
Although George has shown significant progress in his recovery, he still needs to complete certain steps before being able to return to action in an official match. It is anticipated that his debut in the regular season will occur shortly after the start.
The nine-time NBA All-Star underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in July, after suffering an injury during a workout. A reevaluation was expected in September. Last season, George participated in only 41 games.
George faced several physical problems last season, including injections in the left adductor muscle and in the left knee, which led him to end his participation in March.
The 6-foot-8-inch forward averaged 16.2 points last season, his lowest figure since the 2014-15 campaign, in which he played only six games. Since the 2018-19 season, George has only participated in more than 56 games in a season.
