Tim Hardaway Jr. Bolsters the Nuggets with a One-Year Contract
Free agent guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has agreed to a one-year contract with the Denver Nuggets, according to sources close to the situation.
Hardaway Jr. had a standout season with the Detroit Pistons during the 2024-25 campaign, showing solid performance. Now, the player joins the current NBA champions, the Nuggets, after they finalized an agreement with Mark Bartelstein of PrioritySports.
In the past season, Hardaway Jr. started in 77 games with the Detroit Pistons, averaging 11 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. These 77 starts represent the most in his 12-year NBA career.
Hardaway Jr. was acquired by the Pistons from the Dallas Mavericks, where he mostly played the role of sixth man. His arrival was one of the key additions that contributed to the Pistons’ notable improvement last season, achieving a 30-win increase and securing a playoff spot.
The 33-year-old player has just finished the last year of a four-year contract worth $75 million.
