The NBA Season Begins!

The excitement for the NBA season is already in the air, with most teams holding their media days on Monday. The teams are ready for action, and at Alofoke Deportes we bring you a summary of the highlights. The New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and Philadelphia 76ers were the first to hold their media days last week. The Knicks and 76ers will travel to Abu Dhabi for two preseason games, while the Pelicans will head to Melbourne for their own matches. This left the rest of the league’s media days for Monday. From Kevin Durant with the Houston Rockets to Luka Doncic with the Los Angeles Lakers, here are the most important moments from the NBA 2025 Media Day.

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta’s new “trio”, composed of Jalen Johnson, Trae Young, and Kristaps Porzingis, posed for photos.

Boston Celtics

The Celtics allowed their players to write their own messages on the team’s account, including Jayson Tatum, who shared a photo with his new hairstyle. Payton Pritchard, known for his shots at the end of the quarter, talked about the rule change that will affect teams instead of players.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets challenged their players, from Michael Porter Jr. to Terance Mann and Drew Timme, with a riddle: draw a square using only three lines.

Charlotte Hornets

Brandon Miller, LaMelo Ball, and Kon Knueppel modeled Charlotte’s distinctive striped uniforms.

Chicago Bulls

The veteran center Nikola Vucevic is ready to take on his role as the team’s most experienced player.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Lonzo Ball, the Cavs’ point guard, put on his new team’s uniform.

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs’ “trio,” composed of Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, and Cooper Flagg, posed for photos, subtly reminding everyone that each player was the first pick in the NBA draft. Flagg also reflected on his viral encounter with Michael Jordan at the Ryder Cup.

Denver Nuggets

The atmosphere is relaxed between Nikola Jokic and Jonas Valanciunas before Valanciunas’ first season in Denver. Jokic also lived up to his “joker” nickname, sharing his thoughts on “Joker: Folie à Deux”, among other things.
