Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant is heading to the Houston Rockets. Meanwhile, teams across the league are keeping an eye on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s situation and his future with the Milwaukee Bucks. The New York Knicks are still looking for a head coach, and the Boston Celtics are remodeling their roster after the injury of Jayson Tatum, who will miss a significant part of the upcoming season due to an Achilles tendon injury. The Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic kicked off the trade season with a deal involving several players and draft picks. Desmond Bane is heading to Orlando in exchange for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, four future first-round picks, and a first-round pick swap. On Monday, the NBA announced that the salary cap for the 2025-26 season has been set at $154.647 million, while the luxury tax level is $187.895 million. The first “apron” level is set at $195.945 million and the second at $207.824 million. The salary cap and luxury tax level went into effect on Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. ET.
