Michael Jordan Joins NBC as Special Contributor for NBA Coverage
NBC announced this Monday that Hall of Famer Michael Jordan will join as a special contributor in its NBA coverage starting this fall.
The announcement was made by Jordan himself through a video during NBC’s presentation this Monday, followed by a social media post from the network.

NBC’s 11-year partnership with the league will begin with the 2025-26 season. The network did not reveal details about Jordan’s specific role. However, it will mark his first television involvement covering the league since he retired in 2003, with six NBA championships and five league MVP awards.
Jordan, 62, owned the Charlotte Hornets from 2010 to 2023 and co-founded the NASCAR team 23XI Racing in 2020 with driver Denny Hamlin.
NBC returns to NBA coverage for the first time since 2002.
