Brook Lopez Bolsters Los Angeles Clippers with a Million-Dollar Contract
Free agent center Brook Lopez has reached an agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers for two years and 18 million dollars.
The negotiations between the Clippers and Lopez’s representatives, from the Wasserman agency, culminated in this new agreement that takes the 2021 NBA champion away from Milwaukee and moves him to Los Angeles.
At 37 years old, Lopez has accumulated 17 seasons in the NBA. He played the last seven seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he won the NBA title after the 2020-21 regular season.
Lopez stands out as one of the centers with the greatest three-point shooting ability in the league, a highly sought-after profile nowadays.
He is the only player in NBA history with 2,000 blocks and 1,000 three-pointers made.
In the 80 games of last season with the Bucks, Lopez averaged 13 points, 5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.9 blocks. With 2,546 minutes played, it was the third-most in his career and the highest since the 2010-11 season.
Lopez became a free agent after completing a two-year, $48 million contract with Milwaukee.
