LeBron James and Stephen Curry Rule Out Participation in the 2028 Olympics

In a recent conversation on the “Mind the Game” podcast, NBA superstars LeBron James and Stephen Curry revealed their plans for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Both players, considered future Hall of Famers, made it clear that they will not compete for the men’s national team in said event.

“You already know my answer,” said James.

James, who will be 43 years old during the 2028 Olympic Games, expressed his intention to enjoy the event as a spectator. Curry, for his part, who will turn 40 at that time, did not completely rule out the possibility, but considered it unlikely.

“God willing, I would still have the option and the physical ability to impact the team,” Curry commented.

Curry added that, although one should never say never, the probability of his participation is low. James has participated in four Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal in 2004 and three gold medals in 2008, 2012, and 2024. Curry made his Olympic debut in the 2024 games, offering an outstanding performance in the gold medal match.

“We can’t overcome what we just did,” James concluded.
