James, who will be 43 years old during the 2028 Olympic Games, was firm in his decision. Curry, for his part, although he did not completely rule out the possibility, indicated that it is unlikely that he will participate.

“If God wants, I still have the option and the physical ability to impact the team. Never say never, but I doubt it very much. I doubt it very much,” Curry expressed.

James has competed in four Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal in 2004 and gold medals in 2008, 2012, and 2024. Curry made his Olympic debut at the 2024 games, delivering an outstanding performance in the gold medal match.

“We can’t top what we just did. How are we going to top those last two games?”, James commented.
