LeBron James and Stephen Curry Rule Out Participation in the 2028 Olympics

In a recent podcast conversation, NBA superstars LeBron James and Stephen Curry made it clear that they do not plan to compete for the men’s national team in the 2028 Olympic Games, which will be held in Los Angeles.

“You already know my answer,” James affirmed.

James, who will be 43 years old during the 2028 Olympic Games, expressed his intention to be a spectator. Curry, who will turn 40, was also not very optimistic about his participation.

“If God wills, I still have the option and the physical ability to impact the team,” Curry said.

Curry added that, although you can never say never, it is very unlikely that he will participate. James has competed in four Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal in 2004 and gold medals in 2008, 2012, and 2024. Curry made his Olympic debut at the 2024 games, delivering an outstanding performance in the gold medal match.

“We can’t top what we just did,” James said. “How are we going to top those last two games?”
