Knicks Face Significant Absences for Season Start
The New York Knicks have confirmed the absences of Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson for the season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Additionally, All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns was listed as questionable due to a right quadriceps strain. Josh Hart, who is suffering from lower back spasms, has not played since he participated for seven minutes in the first preseason game against the Philadelphia 76ers in Abu Dhabi almost three weeks ago. Meanwhile, Mitchell Robinson, absent due to management of a left ankle injury, has not played since the first half of the Knicks’ preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 9th.Brown has reiterated that Robinson is not injured; the Knicks have indicated that he has been out due to “workload management” since the middle of last week.It remains the same. Neither of them trained today, but we will continue to monitor them, and I will speak with the medical team and see what we are going to do.

The Cavaliers, who like the Knicks are expected to compete for the Eastern Conference title this season, will be without Darius Garland (toe) and Max Strus (foot). De’Andre Hunter was questionable with a right knee contusion.Really, it’s load management. Which means that, obviously, if we consider it necessary, could he play? Yes, he could possibly play.
