OG Anunoby, significant absence for the Knicks

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby will be out of the courts for at least two weeks due to a strain in his left hamstring. The news was confirmed this Sunday, after the results of the medical evaluations. Anunoby was injured on Friday and will not travel with the team on their upcoming five-game road trip, which begins on Monday against the Miami Heat. The player had to leave Friday’s game against the Heat, which the Knicks won 140-132, at 6:52 of the first quarter. Anunoby averages 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Last season, he played 74 games, matching his personal record and surpassing 70 games for the second time in his career. In addition, Knicks guard Jalen Brunson suffered a Grade 1 ankle sprain last week and his status is day-to-day. Brunson did not play against the Heat on Friday night.
