Kevin Porter Jr. Misses Bucks Trip Due to Injury
MILWAUKEE – Kevin Porter Jr. will not participate in the two away games of the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sprained left ankle, an injury suffered in the season-opening victory against the Washington Wizards.
Porter underwent an MRI and was evaluated by the Bucks team orthopedic surgeon, Carole Vetter, on Thursday. The initial diagnosis of a left ankle sprain was confirmed.
The 6-foot-5 guard will not play Friday in Toronto or Sunday in Cleveland. The Bucks did not offer any further updates on Porter’s possible return.
Porter, 25, scored 10 points before getting injured at the end of the first quarter of the Bucks’ 133-120 victory on Wednesday.
Last season, after being acquired by the Bucks at the trade deadline, Porter averaged 11.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 30 games with the team. Previously, with the LA Clippers, he averaged 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 45 games.
