Power forward Nikola Jovic has reached an agreement with the Miami Heat for a four-year, $62.4 million contract extension. This was reported by agents Jeff Schwartz, Sean Kennedy, and Jared Mucha of Excel Sports Management.The contractual agreement is fully guaranteed.Jovic, 22 years old, has participated in 107 of the 246 possible games with the Heat since he was selected in the 27th position of the 2022 NBA draft.In the past season, he averaged 10.7 points, his personal best, although his participation was limited to 46 games due to a fracture in his right hand suffered on February 23. Jovic returned for the playoffs, playing all four games of the first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he averaged 9.5 points in 18.5 minutes.He stood out with a 24-point performance in Game 4, his highest score in a game during the past season, including regular season and playoffs.Jovic debuted at 19 years and 139 days old, becoming the second youngest player to play for the Heat in franchise history, surpassed only by Dorell Wright in 2005.
