Point guard John Wall has announced his retirement from the NBA, ending an 11-season career in the league. Wall, 34, developed most of his career with the Washington Wizards, the team that selected him as the first pick in the 2010 draft from Kentucky. The five-time All-Star ends his career with averages of 18.7 points and 8.9 assists per game.Today, I leave the court, but I don’t walk away from the game. Basketball will always be in my life, and new opportunities arise. I feel that now is the time to confidently enter my next chapter.
