Ty Jerome Bolsters the Grizzlies with a Multi-Million Dollar Contract

Free agent guard Ty Jerome has reached an agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies for three years and $28 million, according to sources close to the negotiations.

The agreement, negotiated by Kieran Piller and Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports, includes a player option in the third year.

Jerome, 28, had a standout season off the bench last year, surpassing his career highs. He averaged 12.5 points and 3.4 assists, with 51.6% field goal efficiency and an impressive 43.9% from the three-point line.

He was one of six players with at least 800 points off the bench last season, and his five 25-point-or-more games coming off the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers tied him for third in the NBA.

Jerome’s rise mirrored Cleveland’s improvement in their quest for the title, with a dominant 64-win season. He was one of many Cavs players who had a career year in terms of shooting, and his ability to create plays off the dribble helped make Cleveland the league’s most dangerous offense last season.

Jerome has been around the league since he was drafted with the number 24 pick in 2019. He signed a two-year contract with the Cavs in 2023, but missed almost all of his first season due to an ankle injury that required surgery.
