Jaxson Hayes and Carter Bryant Accept Invitation to NBA Slam Dunk Contest
Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes and San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant have accepted invitations to participate in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, according to sources.
Hayes, with his 7-foot height, caused a sensation with a between-the-legs dunk in the victory against the Bulls last Monday.
Bryant, selected 14th in last year’s NBA draft and standing at 6 feet 6 inches tall, averages 2.5 points in 35 games with the Spurs this season.
Mac McClung, winner of the contest for three consecutive years, will not participate this season, according to his father.
The All-Star weekend will be held from February 13th to 15th at the Intuit Dome. The slam dunk contest will take place on February 14th.
