Jalen Green, significant absence for the Suns’ season start

The Phoenix Suns will be without one of their main offseason acquisitions for the start of the campaign. Jalen Green will be out of action due to a hamstring injury.

Suns coach Jordan Ott informed the media before Tuesday night’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers that Green aggravated the injury during the team’s recent China tour.

Green will be re-evaluated in ten days, which means his absence will extend beyond the Suns’ regular season opener against the Sacramento Kings on October 22.

Initially, Green was diagnosed with a “low-grade hamstring strain” during training camp. Despite this, the player traveled with the Suns to China, where they played two preseason games against the Brooklyn Nets.

The talented guard is expected to be a key player for the Suns, who acquired him as part of the trade that involved Kevin Durant with the Houston Rockets during the offseason.
